FITNESS, HEALTH & REAL LIFE. WITHOUT THE LECTURE.

I’m Anthony Punshon — coach, international best-selling fitness author and speaker. I talk about making health, fitness and behaviour change work in the world people actually live in.

That usually means less perfection, fewer heroic Monday-morning plans and considerably more attention to what survives work, family, stress, tiredness and the occasional week that goes completely sideways.

Workplaces, gyms and studios, schools, community groups, events, podcasts and media enquiries are all welcome.

THE USEFUL BIT

A TALK SHOULD DO MORE THAN FILL A SLOT ON THE AGENDA.

I’ve spent nearly 30 years around fitness — coaching people, writing about it, running a transformation studio and watching perfectly sensible plans collide with perfectly normal lives.

That’s the territory I’m most interested in: why people struggle to do what they already know they “should” do, what actually makes change stick, and how we make health feel useful rather than like another job.

I’m not currently trying to fill a speaking calendar for the sake of it. But if you’re putting together something where that perspective could genuinely help your audience, I’m very happy to have a conversation.

WHAT I CAN TALK ABOUT

START WITH THE AUDIENCE. THEN BUILD THE TALK.

I don’t think every room needs the same canned keynote with the company name swapped on slide three. These are the broad areas I work in; the angle can be shaped around the people in front of me.

01

FITNESS THAT WORKS IN REAL LIFE

How to build exercise, food and health habits that survive busy jobs, families, stress, low-energy days and imperfect weeks.

02

WHY “JUST TRY HARDER” DOESN’T WORK

What years of coaching real people teach you about motivation, consistency, setbacks and making the easier choice the useful one.

03

STRENGTH, AGEING & MIDLIFE

Why getting stronger matters more as the years move on — and why it doesn’t require becoming a gym obsessive or rearranging your life around fitness.

04

DONE WITH DIETS

Why so many people come away from dieting believing they failed, what the industry gets backwards, and what a more sustainable relationship with food can look like.

WHERE THIS CAN FIT

FROM A SMALL ROOM TO A SEA OF FACES. THE JOB IS STILL TO CONNECT.

WORKPLACES & TEAMSWellbeing days, staff events, lunch-and-learns, off-sites and practical health sessions.
GYMS & STUDIOSMember evenings, open events, workshops and conversations that add something beyond another workout.
SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY GROUPSAge-appropriate talks, wellbeing events, parent groups and community sessions where useful beats preachy.
PODCASTS & MEDIAInterviews and conversations around fitness, dieting, behaviour change, midlife health and the reality behind the advice.

SPEAKING EXPERIENCE

EXPERIENCE IN THE SUBJECT. AND EXPERIENCE IN THE ROOM.

Speaking has been part of my work for years, across very different audiences and settings.

I’ve spoken to children in schools, smaller local groups and fitness audiences, right up to large corporate audiences for companies such as Genistar, speaking to hundreds of people from a stage. The scale changes; the job doesn’t: hold the room, connect with the people in it and make the message useful.

That speaking experience sits alongside nearly three decades in fitness as a coach, writer and former studio owner, and my work as an international best-selling fitness author.

PODCASTS & MEDIA

GOOD CONVERSATIONS ARE VERY WELCOME.

If you host a podcast, write about health and fitness, or need a guest or contributor for something you’re producing, feel free to get in touch.

I’m particularly interested in conversations where we can get underneath the usual “eat less, move more” answers and talk honestly about why health advice is often simple on paper and much less simple at 6.15pm on a Wednesday.

HAVE SOMETHING IN MIND?

TELL ME WHAT YOU’RE PLANNING. WE’LL SEE IF I FIT.

You don’t need to have a formal speaker brief. Tell me what the event or programme is, who it’s for, where it’s happening and roughly what you’d like people to get from it.

If it sounds like something I could add value to, we can take it from there.

Podcast and media enquiries can use the same form.
